Smiling is, in fact, a genuine skill that professional models must master.
Smiles are probably the most underrated facial expressions, much more complicated than most people realize. There are dozens of smiles, each differing in appearance and in the message expressed.
So Position yourself in front of a mirror and practice the following tricks to improve your smile.
- Relax your face and jaw muscles
- Think about something that makes you happy
- Think yourself a ridiculously cheesy jokes
- Take a few deep breaths and think of your happy memories
- Learn to smize (using your eyes)
Facial Expressions Exercise:
A model must understand how to use their face. Try this exercise to become more at ease with using your face to convey various emotions or lack of.
For at least 20 – 30 minutes, stand in front of a mirror and express your feelings solely through your expression.
